Working Group  | Lebanon
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees  (UNRWA) in Lebanon confirmed that it has received 4,250 displaced persons in the shelters it recently established, due to the displacement of hundreds of families as a result of the Israeli war on Lebanon.
UNRWA stated that till October 3rd, 12 shelters have been opened and they are preparing to open more. The displaced inpiduals are distributed as follows: 1,922 Lebanese Palestinians, 829 Syrian Palestinians, 765 Lebanese, 673 Syrians, 23 unregistered inpiduals, 21 others, in addition to 17 inpiduals without identification documents.
In the past few days, dozens of Syrian Palestinian  families have fled from the cities of Tyre and Beirut to the Nahr al-Bared camp in northern Lebanon, escaping the extensive bombardment by Israeli warplanes that affected various regions and towns in Lebanon.
Palestinian refugees in southern Lebanon face significant dangers due to the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, and they lack the protection, rapid response, and necessary support in case they are  displaced.
