A delegation from the Refugee Foundation visits the Jaramana camp to assess service needs

Action Group | Rural Damascus

A delegation from the General Authority for Palestinian Arab Refugees, headed by the Director of the Damascus Camps Area, visited the Jaramana camp in the Damascus countryside to assess the conditions of the residents and evaluate their service needs.

The director was accompanied on the tour by a group of the institution's employees, in addition to the camp manager and members of the development committee, during which the state of services and infrastructure in the camp was inspected.

During the visit, the Development Committee presented a set of urgent service demands, including the provision of drinking water, maintenance of sewage networks, road repairs, improvement of bread quality, provision of domestic gas, and an increase in food aid and development courses.

For his part, the camp director, Khalifa, affirmed his commitment to conveying these demands to the general director of the institution, indicating the pursuit of finding suitable solutions within the available resources.

It is worth mentioning that the Jaramana camp has been suffering for years from a continuous deterioration in basic services due to neglect, in the absence of regular maintenance by the concerned authorities and UNRWA.
