Palestinian youth Mohammed Atef Al-Makhrazi, from the Tel Shihab refugee camp in the Daraa countryside, was killed in a shooting on the outskirts of Amsterdam, the Dutch capital, according to local sources.

Initial reports indicate that Mohammed, the son of Atef Al-Makhrazi (Abu Khaled), a member of the Tel Shihab camp's development committee, was with two other young men when they were shot by an unknown assailant. Mohammed and one of the other young men were killed, while the third managed to escape.

As of the time of this report, Dutch authorities have not yet issued an official statement clarifying the circumstances or motives behind the crime. Security services have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances and the identity of the perpetrator.

The crime has sparked shock and grief among the residents of Tel Shihab and the wider Palestinian refugee community, who mourned the young victim and demanded that the truth be revealed, those responsible be held accountable, and the safety of Palestinian refugees and residents in their host countries be guaranteed.
