“Palestine Hope” team end their preparations to participate in the “Roboogie 2” competition in Beirut

In Lebanon, the “Palestine Hope” team, which is made up of 10 Palestinian-Syrian students, ended its preparations to participate in the “Roboogie 2” competition, to be held on Friday 16th of March 2018 in the Notre Dame University – Louaize in Beirut. Participating, are 100 students pided into 10 teams, who applied from 10 schools, including 9 schools for Syrians and one team representing the Palestinian refugees coming from Syria to Lebanon, to hold the competition title.

The “Roboogie” robot competition is the second edition, launched by MABS organization last year 2017, in coordination with "VEX Robotics Lebanon" and with the full support of the "Swassia" organization. The competition is considered one of the most important competitions for Palestinian-Syrian refugees and Syrians in the world.

On his part, The head of the Palestinian teachers' group, Yunus Al-Masri said: “Despite this being our team’s first trial, we hope to win the first place for the students’ preparations of this competition, under the leadership of Mr Khaled Taleb.

Al-Masri indicated that: “A team of Palestinian students that had been displaced from different Palestinian camps in Syria and living currently in the central Beqaa area, has been chosen.” He ended his statement to the Action Group with hope that this culture is disseminated to all Palestinian camps, and to work towards providing the possibilities for it, and securing its material support.
