Jaramana camp. Rehabilitation of a damaged house with support from the Refugee Foundation.

Jaramana Camp – Action Group

In Jaramana camp, reinforcement work has been completed on a house damaged by a recent land subsidence. This followed a series of technical measures that restored the house's structural stability and eliminated the risk to its residents and neighboring homes.

The reinforcement work was supported by the Palestinian Arab Refugees Foundation and supervised by the Jaramana Camp Development Committee. It was carried out in stages, including addressing the subsidence site, stopping the leakage, reinforcing the damaged foundations, and ultimately rehabilitating the ground to ensure the building's safety.

The project was implemented with engineering oversight from the Foundation and in coordination with the Jaramana Municipality's technical staff, along with on-site monitoring by the Development Committee. This collaborative approach enabled the work to be completed quickly and minimized any further risks to residents, reflecting the importance of ensuring housing safety and the residents' right to a safe living environment.

Observers believe this response demonstrates the integrated efforts of relevant authorities and local stakeholders in addressing emergencies and strengthening the stability of residential areas within the camp.
