Damascus – Action Group
The Action Group for Palestinians of Syria, in partnership with the Edaad Foundation for Development and Charity, organized a dialogue session entitled "Without a Job..." on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Foundation's headquarters in Yarmouk Camp.
The session was attended by a number of young people from the camp and other prominent figures. The speakers included Professors Ahmed Abdel Nasser, Tawfiq Hajir, Muhammad Lababidi, Ahmed Hamid, and Nour El-Din Sandas. The open dialogue focused on the most significant difficulties young people face in finding employment, the impact of unemployment on their daily lives and their psychological and social well-being, and the presentation of practical proposals for solutions applicable within the camps.
The Action Group emphasized that this seminar is part of its efforts to amplify the voices of Palestinian youth and highlight their reality in light of the lack of development projects and the ongoing economic challenges in the camps.
The meeting concluded with a number of recommendations, most notably strengthening the role of youth initiatives, activating coordination with supporting institutions to launch small projects, and the necessity of continuing to organize dialogue sessions that provide young people with a platform for expression and participation.
