High School Palestinian Syrian Students Complain and Put Responsibility at UNRWA

The tenth grade students of the Palestinians in Syria were surprised of the French language course within a curriculum that is taught in the UNRWA schools, where these students have not studied any French lessons previously, noting that they have studied elementary stage within UNRWA schools.

Students complained that teachers base their teaching on the fact that the student should possess some concepts and vocabulary of the langue, while, in fact, they do not even know the French alphabets.

Residents said that UNRWA had erred when it excluded the French language allocated to the Syrian refugee students, considering that the Department of Education in UNRWA was directly oversaw the middle school curriculum compile during the previous academic years.

It is noteworthy that the UNRWA has recently proceeded to integrate the Palestinian Syrian students with their peers from the Palestinians in Lebanon without taking into consideration the differences of applicable curriculum in terms of the content of materials and languages.
